our BDX is not as bold as your might find in France or out in the western USA. However, due to the lighter style the wine is much more food friendly. this style of wine excels with French oak aging. aged for 14 months adds an extended finish. The Cabernet Franc that is the dominate grape in this blend is know for its black pepper characters as well as, even when ripe, holding onto green notes like bell pepper adding freshness and overall depth to the wine. the blend of cabernet sauvignon and Merlot adds richness and fruit depth such as plums, currents, and rich dark cherry. Serving this wine at room temperature will allow the wine to express aromatically.
